HELLO AGAIN EVERYBODY, SEEMS TO ME THAT NOT ALL MY FAVORITE PEOPLE TO READ ARE NOT HERE. IF THEY ARE, THEY ARE NOT VISITING ME ANY LONGER. I UNDERSTAND THIS. I THINK THAT THE AOL JOURNAL WAS JUST AN INTIMATE WAY OF REACHING OUT TO EACH OTHER. THIS BLOG, IS JUST THAT, A BLOG FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE. I DONT KNOW IF I WILL CONTINUE WITH IT.
THE PICTURE I POSTED IS OF ONE OF MY NEW BABIES {AFRICAN VIOLETS}, AND LO AND BEHOLD THE BABIES JUST HAD BABIES, THAT MAKES ME A GREAT GRANDMA. I AM AMAZED AT THIS. IN THE PAST IT TOOK MONTHS FOR THE BABIES TO SHOW UP. SOMETIMES THE MOMMY DIED AND I HAD TO PLANT ANOTHER MOM. IT IS A HIT AND MISS OPERATION. IF I START WITH 5 MOMS I AM LUCKY TO GET TWO TO THRIVE. BUT THIS, WOW. I THINK I WAS FEEDING THE MOM WITH THE FERTILIZER ON A STEADY BASIS. I USUALLY DO NOT DO THIS. I THOUGHT THAT OVER CARING FOR THEM WAS NOT THE CORRECT WAY TO GO, BUT LOOK, IT GAVE ME BABIES TOO SOON. I ONLY HOPE THAT THEY CONTINUE TO THRIVE. I STILL HAVE 3 OTHERS IN OTHER POTS WAITING FOR THEIR OFF SPRINGS. SO FAR NOTHING. THEY WERE ALL STARTED AT THE SAME TIME..SUCH IS NATURE.
TODAY I AM GOING TO ANOTHER FUNERAL. I LIVE IN A COMMUNITY THAT IS OVER 55YRS. NOBODY GETS PREGNANT HERE (THANKFULLY), BUT DIEING IS A STEADY OCCURRENCE. TODAY'S IS FOR A GAL WHO LIVED IN MY BUILDING AND HAS BEEN SICK FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS. SHE MADE THE DECISION TO NOT TAKE CHEMO OR ANY OTHER MEDICATION. SHE HAD BEEN OPENED FOR UTERINE CANCER. IT COULD NOT BEEN REMOVED. HER HUSBAND WAS VERY MUCH AGAINST HER DECISION, BUT SHE WAS FORCE FULL ENOUGH TO STAND HER GROUNDS. IN MY OPINION SHE DID THE RIGHT THING. SHE WAS 86 AND DID NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH ALL THE THINGS THE DOCTORS TRY TO MAKE YOU DO..SHE WOULD HAVE HAD MONTHS OF TORTURE. SO TODAY WE SAY GOODBYE. REST IN PEACE ELEANOR.

ReplyDeleteI like you African violets. I haven't grown any since I lived in Miami. They are pretty but very picky about where they like to be placed

My readers are slow in coming too. But I think we all have to get used to the shock! My mil grows beautiful African violets, I don't though. I can grow other plants but no those. I think I water them too much. Funerals are hard aren't they? I help Mrs H and she's 95 and a lot of people in her building fall or get hurt. It's sad. rose
ReplyDeleteAwww please don't leave Bert I would miss you so much.
ReplyDeleteYour flowers look great. My mom loved African Violets. Seems like when a person reaches a certain age they start loosing their friends. :( Hope you have a great week. It won't be long until winter here. Blessings, Janie
